Home Basics has been furnishing people’s futures for over twenty years as a local household reuse charity working across the Scottish Borders. Ensuring affordable household items are accessible to people in urgent need of furnishing a comfortable home. Our quality items are also available to everyone to purchase at competitive prices through our two retails stores in Walkerburn and Hawick.

With the current economic crisis the referral scheme that Home Basics currently runs will see an increase in discount from 25% to 33% for anyone on means tested benefit for the foreseeable future. You can apply for this scheme by showing proof of qualifying benefits and filling in a short form available on our website or in our retail stores.
