Meet the Team

Home Basics is run by paid members of staff and lots of volunteers.  The charity also has a team of dedicated voluntary Directors who are the Trustees.  The Directors meet once a month and also have sub-groups to look at specific needs.

Some of the people you might encounter most often at Home Basics are:

Dennis Fisher - Business Manager

Dennis is based at the Walkerburn depot. Dennis is the person to contact if you have any questions about how the charity is run or have any comments that you want to pass on. Dennis is assisted by Kate & Noel to help organise the van collections and delivery schedules.

Christine Gillespie - Shop Manager

Christine is our Shop Manager in Hawick, where a selection of furniture items are available for sale.

Blair, Graeme and Frank - Van Drivers

We employ Blair and Graeme as our wonderfully cheerful van drivers at Hawick and Frank in Walkerburn.

Our Volunteers
